Weekend Recap 又酸又甜的週末

Thursday
Had my bottom right wisdom tooth removed (sectional freezing anesthesia only)
Experienced a brief but very painful period before my Ibuprofen drug kicked in. IT HURTS...
I forgot how much it hurts (had my upper one removed 2~3 years ago)

Friday
Sick Day as the wisdom tooth effect still lingers, and I am addicted to the drugs (APO Ibuprofen)

Saturday
Visited the Columbia Forest Long Term Care for the Tzu Chi volunteer, we had fun playing Family Feud, and those elders are very cute, so cute that I got kisses @@

Sunday
Volunteered at the Family Fun Day. Spent $80+ for 5 Silent Auction items
  • $65 for $100 value 3-entree Supper Works (last year was $45 for 6-entree Supper Works)
  • $5 for $100 value Cedar Tree. Now I don't know where to put it
  • $6 for $25 Morty's Gift Certificate
  • Some other small items
童話
這是一個又酸又甜的週末
酸的是 牙齒酸
甜的是 這是好幾年來 很開心的一個週末 好像又回到了青澀的少年
不管將來怎麼樣 我都想說 我會很珍惜 呵護著這段童話

TD Select Service Chequing Account

Since MDJ had an article on High-End Chequing Account Comparison, I feel like as a loyal TD customer, I shall blog about my favorite chequing account - the one and only TD Select Service Chequing Account

Below are my personal experiences, not the typical bank pitch

Pros
  • You get UNLIMITED transactions (including International withdrawls and Debits)
  • FREE Certified Cheque/Bank Draft
  • FREE Borderless USD Chequing Account
    • Annual-fee-waived USD TD VISA, from Borderless account
  • FREE (annual fees waived) for your choice of TD Gold VISA credit cards
  • I just enrolled into the Simply Save program to earn ~10% return from your savings, and the unlimited transactions really help. I am up to $200 savings transferred so far (at Daily $5 per transaction)
Cons
  • You need to keep $5000 in there, consider it a free loan to TD

Toronto Pearson Runway Run

Saturday June 13, 2009 was the 2009 Toronto Pearson Runway Run, to raise money for Credit Valley hospital foundation.

On Saturday, June 13, 2009, Toronto Pearson will open its Runway 06R-24L to two thousand members of the general public and airport community. Walking or running side-by-side with jets is an experience to remember.
It was a gorgeous day with sunshine and breeze, there were numerous aircrafts to be seen (A319, 727, CF-18, and many takeoffs and landings on the runway next door 6L). Our group (8 of us) all had great fun, and pledged over $100+ for the good cause

Weekend Recap, and Happy Birthday to my brother

Saturday
Watched Star Trek - it was really good (I'm a Star Trek fan), gave it 10/10

Dinner at Moxie's Classic Grill SQ1 with friends and brother, using up the $200 Gift Card I acquired earlier for $100 (what a deal). 5 of us, trying very hard, still only managed to eat $180 worth, came home "very" stuffed.
  • Drinks - Bellini, Raspberry Kiwi, Ice Tea
  • Appetizer - Combo platter
  • Entrees - Steak Salad, Sirloin Oscar with Prawns, Land & Sea Grill
  • Desserts - Tasting Trio, Bite of Brownie, Blackberry Apple Crisp, Chocolate Espresso Mousse

Sunday
Morning - Tzu Chi park cleaning at Rododandron Gardens from 9 am to 12 pm

Afternoon - Attended the Blue Jays vs KC Royals game, watching Roy Halladay for a complete game 4-0 victory, in 2 hours. Doc becomes the first MLB pitcher to get 10 wins in 2009
